BS3621
Most Insurance companies will require a certain standard of locks to be fitted to your home in order for you to be covered on their policy. The most common standard is the British Standard.
British Standard locks will display a special 'Kite' mark, and will have BS3621 printed on them. A year may also be displayed, showing which year of British Standard the lock was tested to. For example: BS3621 2007.
Although this is the most common requirement, I do recommend checking with your insurance company before any work is done, as some companies do have slightly different requests.
